Vintage dresses

My mother-in-law cut these dresses out when she was just a girl. They were in magazine from the 1950’s and were for a paper doll. She grew up in Queensland, Australia and I wonder what magazine they were from. I love all the news, pictures and advertisements on the back. My mother-in-law has kept many things from her youth and we are particularly happy she kept the dresses.

We decided that they deserved to be on show and so I bought a simple box frame from Ikea and mounted them (I managed this job all by myself.  I know.  Impressive. Unlike my last project).

We have just hung the picture in Adele’s room.  She loves them. So do I.
